last week met with the sa ppl to celebrate ym's bday at this ai qing hai place. whar, i really dunoe how to rate this restaurant lo. the rating of the stage and the service can be very conflicting really. the singers were good, and quite humorous actually, but the vol can be lowered. the ambiance is good also if u are not the kind to engage in small talks when eating. i din talk much to ppl 2 seats away from me and the friend of kg was sitting infront of me. i think he was kinda left out but there's wasn't much to talk btwn us and kg who was sitting next to him was too busy hanging to ym's words to talk to him... hahah, ok la, i admit i was exaggerating a bit.
there's abt 5 groups (including us) celebrating birthdays and there were gifts (decorated pencil, i think. anyway, ym got a blue spider on a blue stick thingy) for those bday ppl. a guy was made to sing on stage too... and it was funny how he insisted on singing that song he wanted, even when the pianist told him she cant play that piece well.
as for the service of the restaurant, there's only a phrase to describe it: snail-paced. u would expect the drinks to come in ard 10mins after ordering; they probably ran out of pearls and had to go out to buy flour to make them. food was served 1 hr later. i think they had to travel to the kampongs to buy chickens for my chicken teriyaki, and buy the rice too... bill had to be waited for 1/2 hr... i was telling kg that they'll move faster if we juz stand up and leave... service is 0 outta 1000... (i guess all of them would disagree wif me since they were putting up some v.good comments abt the place.) well, i'd go there again if and only if i alr had dinner

haa.. The service is not good on that day. However, i think it's just on that day as melvin said that on other days, the service was quite good. For me, I went once and the service was ok too.. all in all, that day is just a one-case incident barz.
My friend is not bored.. Haa
